We've just created a new blog for those are interested in using VenueMagic for Halloween lighting and haunted house control.  It's a great place to get some great haunted house ideas using VenueMagic and DMX lighting control to do some pretty amazing things.  We’ve also created sample VenueMagic project files for a variety of different haunting themes and Halloween lighting effects that you can download and use however you like.  Visit the site at www.halloween.venuemagic.com.  Happy haunting!

A number of you asked for this, so here it is!  We thought it was a curious request at first.  But it turns out that a lot of people purchased MyDMX and have since stopped using it because it was difficult to use and took more time to create shows than they expected.  The MyDMX software is great if you have a lot of experience programming DMX lighting consoles and enjoy doing it.  In fact, that's what most DMX software does best--mimic hardware controllers, with a few extra bells and whistles.  VenueMagic offers a different approach that is easier to learn, faster to develop, and much more powerful.

So now, to all of you who were wondering what to do with those old, unemployed DMX interface boxes gathering dust on your shelf...Blow off the dust and put 'em back to work!

We are proud to announce the official release of VenueMagic 2.1.  Already the most flexible and easy to use dmx lighting control systems available in its price range, VenueMagic 2.1 adds powerful  new features such as DMX and joystick input, a custom fixture profile editor, a date/time scheduler for timeline playback, multi-level foreground cues,  and much more.  We've also added support for additional DMX interfaces including ENTTEC Open DMX USB, ENTTEC DMX USB Pro, DMX4ALL, Velleman VM116 and ArtNet (with more coming).

VenueMagic's unique timeline approach to lighting control makes it easy to synchronize audio and lighting effects, by letting you see them "side-by-side" on a timeline.  Drag and drop multiple layers of audio and lamp effect clips and line them up in tracks on a timeline.  The DMX channel router lets you adjust DMX levels on-the-fly (while timelines are running) using your favorite MIDI or DMX console.  Or you can use VenueMagic's Virtual Control Surface, a unlimited set of programmable sliders that work well with both mouse and touchscreens.  A set of programmable cue buttons can be used to run timelines instantly with a click, or a touch.  These capabilites makes VenueMagic ideal software for controlling stage lighting and audio, DJ lightshows, nightclubs lighting, and Halloween haunted house control.

VenueMagic 2.1 is offered at an introductory price of $347 for download, or $397 including the VM-USBDMX-01 DMX adaptor.
